在我看来,色彩是吸引人的,我一直希望能在我的首饰中融入突出色彩元素的主题。在作品《Blocks, lines, drops》中,我尝试了结合色彩和材料的探索,用丙烯颜料本身作为材料去创作首饰,通过探索颜料形态的随机性与色彩反映人潜意识情绪的结合,从中感受到了创作的乐趣。

而在了解到在现代首饰的定义后,我认识到了在现代首饰创作中所需要的情感表达与思辨能力,我认为色彩也是一种情感的表达,并且能够赋予一件事物更多的故事和细节。如在《家庭护身符》中,我通过运用不同的色彩,使之不仅具有叙事性,还反映了一些文化传统或者社会现象。我用了羊毛毡这一种古老的织物作为主材料,以此作为宗教与家庭的表现,来表达家庭温暖的情感。

我希望能通过更多不同的材料,来创作出具有丰富色彩与情感的作品。

 

Without a doubt, in my work Abandoned, I also broke the routine and used something different to express my feelings, such as paper, instead of metal. I use the form to make handcuffs to tell the story of how I was once bounded. After a series of evolution, I finally broke through my former self and became the person I am now.

Colors are attractive to me so that I always want to highlight the color element in my jewelleries. In the work Blocks, Lines, Drops, I try to explore the combination between color and materials as acrylic paints are used to produce jewelleries. In the exploration of random paint state as well as the reflection of colors on the subconscious emotions, I’ve tasted the joy of creation.

With the understanding of contemporary jewellery, I realise that emotional expressions and critical thinking skills are needed in the creation of contemporary jewellery. I believe that color is also a way to express emotions that endows stories and details to an object. Thus, in the work The Family Amulet, I use different colors to promote narrativity and to reflect some cultural traditions and social phenomenon. Wool felt, an ancient fabric I use as the main material, represents religion and family to deliver the warmth of family.

I expect to create more works in rich colors and emotions with various materials.
