Shanghai Series - Overdraw
In my opinion, there are too many high-rise buildings in Shanghai. Sometimes, I get the impression that the number of skyscrapers has exceeded the level of public tolerance. In some cases, those buildings can be a real threat to city living, since they can be targets of terrorist attacks or plane accidents.

Therefore, my work represents buildings that are made of single sponge-cubes. The cubes can be piled up to shape ‘houses‘， which can grow higher and higher until they reach a point where they naturally collapse. It is an interactive work that is meant to show the spectator the danger of trying to reach further than is good for the human well-being.

Shanghai Series - Around
In the piece ‘Around’, I want to emphasize the number of high－rise buildings that can be found in Shanghai. To me, they give the impression of making the city more complicated and intertwined. The piece is made of nearly 20m of wood that shows printed images of Shanghai’s skyscrapers，being woven and shaped into a ball-like structure. The shape of the piece is inspired by the idea of showing that even in chaos reigns the order of the universe.

上海系列-透支
当我们来到上海，都会觉得上海的高楼非常的多。有时候我觉得这些高楼已经超出了上海所能够承受的数量。高楼会带来地平面的下沉，会遮挡阳光。我觉得人们爱高楼是因为自身有限得高度，所以我们爱站在高楼上去让我们有居高临下的感觉。我用200块海绵制作我的作品，我在海绵上喷绘了楼层的样子。这是一个可以互动的作品，每个人都能试试自己能够搭起一座多高的楼。但其实，我们都没办法把海绵垒到超越自身得高度。

上海系列-环绕
这个作品为了表现上海高楼的数量非常多，从而突出了一种复杂交错的感受。我用近20米的木条完成了整个作品。木条上所印的是上海的楼房，我特意选取了摩天高楼的截面作为素材。我把作品做成球型是因为我想营造出宇宙的感觉。我希望表现一个无限大的交错空间，造成一定视觉上的错觉。
