Fiona 郭晓枫
I have always been fascinated by nature’s abstract existence, as large as the universe to miniscule scale as microorganisms. Based on true stories and events that happened around me, I created the jewellery collection ‘Variation’ that features cellular mutations and illnesses. I wanted to express the optimism and strength that our bodies are capable of when faced with life-threatening circumstances. Special clay, silicone and vibrant colours were used to interpret lesion and tumors grown from the body and organs; precious metal such as silver was also incorporated to add intricate details, and to enhance the quality of pieces. My work reflects my view of life and philosophy, and I wish to share this belief through my jewellery.
对自然抽象的形态我一直有种特殊的感情，大至银河宇宙小到微生物细胞，不可遇见又蕴藏玄机，所以这一年我通过身边发生的故事，创作了以细胞病变为线索的一系列首饰一一“变幻“又名”无形”。人体中蕴含各种能量，各种细胞组织，有些对人体有益，为生命机体提供不可缺少的能量，而有些细胞的增长却对人们健康有害甚至引发死亡，无论面对什么样的变幻，人始终应该抱有乐观的精神怀着无常的心态笑看世事变幻。至于材料方面，我用一种特殊的粘土来表现病变的状态，硅胶等材料与其结合配以艳丽的色彩，用积极的颜色来表达病变的器官和细胞，以此励人，以银辅以细节的处理，特别是胸针的搭配着实费尽心思。总而言之，想用这系列首饰传达我的生活态度并谨守信条，这也是我为什么以此为题。
