Pre-MA Jewellery Design
My jewellery work is about the changing process of people’s emotion such as, from strangers to friends, from lovers to domestic affection. The life is full of emotions, which also influence my attitude towards interpersonal relationship. I express my feelings of relationship in different stages by jewellery.
In my work, Sounds and Weaknesses, I use resin and silicon instead of traditional noble metal to simulate people’s real feelings. The name of the work, Weaknesses, is quite straightforward, which reveals the interpersonal relationship. Therefore, I decided to make interactive jewellery. When the wearer of the jewellery is embraced, the blood sealed by the silicon will slop over, symbolizing the feeling of being harmed by the people the wearer are familiar with. Series, Fusion, reflects my attitudes towards marriage. The best way to get along with your life partner is to merge together.
The ordinary materials are used to the maximum degree in my works to display the complex relationship among jewellery, emotion and life.
我的首饰系列作品是关于人类本质情感的变化过程；比如从陌生关系发展到友情；从爱情到亲情。这些情感充斥着我们的生活，影响我对人际关系的看法，我通过首饰这个媒介来对观者表达我自身经历的不同时期的“关系”变化。
在《声音》与《弱点》作品里，运用树脂与硅胶取代传统贵金属来创作，为了模拟真实感受以此达到作品里皮肤肌理效果。在《弱点》暗喻每个人的弱点，在人际关系里会越来越暴露在外，所以我使用互动方式，当观者拥抱佩戴者时，被硅胶封着的血液就会溢出，这象征了被亲近的人伤害的概念。《融合》系列又抒发了我对婚姻的看法，在婚姻中两人最好的相处方式就是融合。
我的首饰作品最大限度的日常材料，来表达首饰、情感与生活之间千丝万缕的联系。
