Yunqi Ma is a jewellery designer, who is still in the process of learning. She believes contemporary jewellery is a representation of emotional expression. When some strange ideas or some tiny moods are not clear enough to express in words, art can be a more appropriate way of expression. Her inspiration of the creation is usually from her daily life, showing some ignored periods or moments.
In Yunqi Ma's brooch series <Family>, she used the wood which is also the container of her childhood memory as the material to make up for the regrets of taking no family photos in the trip. She tried to use this collection to make up for the lack of emotions in the travel.
She wanted to convey that there are some things can be easily ignored between families, just as thinking it may not be necessary to take a picture together during the journey. However, things like this can become a small regret in the family's mind in the future. Some regrets cannot be retrieved, so she hopes that everyone could pay attention to the details of life, because the small things are more likely to be regrets.
马韫祺是一位正在学习中的首饰设计师。当代首饰对于马韫祺来说是可以代表某种情感的表达。当有些稀奇古怪的想法或者平时一些微小的情感用文字和语言表述不清时候,艺术可能是更合适的表达方式。她的创作灵感通常来自生活中的日常琐事。将容易被忽视的一些时期或者时刻重点表达出来。
在马韫祺的<家庭>系列胸针中,她用承载着小时候记忆的木头作为材料,试图去弥补旅途中没有家庭合照的遗憾。她试图用这个系列去弥补旅途中情感的缺失。
马韫祺想表达的是家庭之间会有些容易忽视的理所当然,就好像旅途中也许不一定需要合照。但这可能也会成为未来家人心中的永远的小遗憾。有些遗憾是无法填补的,所以马韫祺希望大家都关注生活中一些细节,因为就是越细小的事情越有可能成为遗憾。
